Notary Roger Hart:
“I provide a full range of notarial services for both individuals and companies. Please be sure to make an appointment in advance and bring with you evidence of identity and any relevant papers that relate to the transaction.
I can arrange legalisation and consular verification where appropriate. The legalisation process is where an Apostille (a stamped certificate issued by The Foreign and Commonwealth Office) is attached to the notarised document.”

Power of Attorney
The most frequent documents needing to be notarised on behalf of companies and individuals are Powers of Attorney. A power of attorney is a written authorisation to represent or act on another persons behalf in private affairs, business, or some other legal matter. The person authorising the other to act is the principal, grantor, or donor (of the power), and the one authorised to act is the agent or Donee.
Notary services ‘out of hours’
Sometimes out of hours appointments can be made, please contact me for weekend and evening availability.
Short notice meetings
Although I request that you make an appointment, I understand that notarial work tends can be urgent and am happy to fix appointments at very short notice, subject to availability.
What ID is required?
Please bring your passport with you and proof of address (such as a utility bill dated within the last six months). This information will enable me to be satisfied of your identity and to attest that you have appeared before me and signed the document in front of me.
Charges and estimates
While there are no set charges, my current minimum fee is £70.00, with an hourly rate of £250.00 per hour inclusive of VAT.
In addition to this, I may need to charge additional disbursement; for example, fees to The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (for the Apostille), Embassies or Translators. I will always tell you in advance the fees they will charge for any particular work.
I will tell you the fees in advance; however, there will be times when I am unable to say exactly how much the cost will be or the time needed to complete the transaction. Often it is helpful for documents to be submitted in advance by email.
How to pay
Payment may be made by cash, cheque, bank transfer or invoiced by prior arrangement. Sorry I do not accept card payments.
Documents in a foreign language?
If the document is not in English, in some circumstances, I still may be able to certify it as long as I am satisfied that you fully understand the nature of the legally binding document about to be notarised.
Some foreign language documents do have to be translated; as your MyNotary notary, I can arrange this for you.
